Summary of responsibilities:
The Data and AI Solutions Innovator will innovate with CATSA's data and AI capabilities, integrating artificial intelligence into current applications and processes. The ideal candidate will possess a solution integration mindset, with the ability to conceptualize, architect, create and integrate data and AI solutions into new and existing systems and processes. This role demands expert proficiency in Microsoft Azure cloud services and its AI capabilities, along with responsibility for creating and maintaining AI services and data infrastructure. The Data and AI Solutions Innovator will also fulfill other related duties and responsibilities as necessary.
What you need to succeed
To qualify for the position, you must have:
- Graduation from a recognized college or university with specialization in computer science, information technology/management, or another specialty relevant to the duties of the position or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum eight (8) years progressive experience in IT, including five (5) years experience in the design and delivery of complex and large-scale technical projects applying in solution development and architecture.
- Two plus (2+) years of experience leading wide-scale Data science initiatives (Data & Analytics, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Large Language Models, Robot Process Automation) using cloud computing.
- A minimum of two years experience in cloud computing solutions in Microsoft Azure.
- Experience providing advice and preparing reports, plans, recommendations and briefing material for others, including senior management.

Valuable skills include:
- Project Management experience.
- Experience leading complex business transformation projects.
- Prior experience leading and facilitating teams or working groups.
- Experience and understanding of complex computer hardware, data, data centers, and software environments.
- Broad understanding of impacts and considerations for IT Security.
- Virtualization knowledge such as hardware platforms, storage, network resources and how virtualization can play a role in modern solutions
- Knowledge of various operating systems and databases
Specific work requirements:
- Language profile: English Essential
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance; and
- Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
