Summary of responsibilities:
The Manager, Screening Contracts is responsible for the management and administration of CATSA’s Airport Screening Services Agreements (ASSAs), as well as the associated budget. The Manager, Screening Contracts is also responsible for ensuring financial and systematic controls are in place to ensure compliance with the Financial Administration Act (FAA) for the ASSAs, and is responsible for the development and implementation of several technologies (TAS, ACL, etc.) which support the day to day airport screening operations. The Manager, Screening Contracts performs all other duties and responsibilities related to the position as required.
What you need to succeed
To qualify for the position, you must have:
- Graduation from a recognized university with specialization in commerce, business administration, public administration or other related discipline relevant to the duties of the position.
- A minimum of eight (8) years relevant work experience including, an acceptable combination of: contract negotiation, contract management, contract financial administration, risk management, and/or project management.
- A minimum of two (2) years of managerial experience leading a team.
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in providing strategic advice and recommendations to various levels of management.

- Knowledge of general management theories and principles, including project management, operational and strategic planning, budget management/control, human resource management and training techniques.
- Superior written and oral communications skills, including consultation, presentation and negotiation methods and techniques.
- General understanding and aptitude for IT technologies.
- Knowledge of CATSA's mandate and priorities, as well as an awareness of relevant legislation impacting CATSA.
- Understanding of Canadian airport regulatory and operating environments.
- Knowledge of financial management principles, policies, procedures, practices and systems used in the public sector, specifically by Crown corporations.

- - Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance; and
