Summary of responsibilities:
The Advisor, Performance Programs is responsible for supporting the design and development of operations performance programs and coordinating their implementation, including national compliance, covert verification testing, open testing and/or quality assurance. The Advisor, Performance Programs performs all other duties and responsibilities related to the position as required.
What you need to succeed
To qualify for the position, you must have:
• Graduation from a recognized college or university with a specialization in aviation security, performance measurement, international affairs, project management, business administration, public administration or another speciality relevant to the duties of the position.
• A minimum of three years of experience supporting the design and development of programs, and measuring KPIs.
• A minimum of three years of experience developing briefing notes, outlines, and program recommendations.
• Experience collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to design successful programs;
• Knowledge of compliance/oversight/verification tools, techniques and practices.

• Knowledge of CATSA's mandate and priorities, as well as an awareness of relevant legislation and regulations impacting CATSA.
• Knowledge of the aviation industry and the related regulatory and security issues.
• Project management and monitoring and evaluation skills.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement practices and principles.
• Experience conducting audits, security reviews and risk assessments.
• Experience in diagnosing and troubleshooting basic computer system/ X-ray technical issues.
Specific work requirements
• Ability to work overtime as required;
• Ability to travel as required
• Language Profile: English essential;
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance; and
• Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
