Summary of responsibilities:
The Senior Advisor, Spare Parts & Logistics is responsible for supporting the development of the Spare Parts program for screening equipment across Canada, ensuring that the program meets all operational and contractual requirements. Key responsibilities include, monitoring inventory levels, addressing availability issues and overseeing spare parts stocking, usage, replenishment and logistics to proactively prevent shortages. The role also involves identifying and resolving the root causes of availability problems, coordinating the Master Parts List (MPL) and MIN/MAX target stocking targets; reporting performance to senior management, and troubleshooting any issues that arise. The Senior Advisor will also drive continuous improvement initiative and handle budgetary oversight. The Senior Advisor, Spare Parts & Logistics, will also perform all other duties and responsibilities related to the position as required.
What you need to succeed
To qualify for the position, you must have:
- Graduation from a recognized college or university with a specialization in logistics, supply chain management, spare parts management, business administration or another specialty relevant to the duties of the position or equivalent experience.
- Over five (5) years of experience spare parts management, logistics management, or supply chain management, supporting complex equipment distribution across a board geographic area.
- Strong understanding and knowledge of logistics principles, practices, and processes, including inventory management and distribution strategies.
- Experience in formulating and executing short – and long – term spare parts plans for widely distributed maintenance programs.
- Strong Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to resolve complex spare parts logistics challenges.
- Proven experience in researching, analyzing, reporting, and providing recommendations to management, both orally and in writing.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint.

- Experience leading and facilitating teams
- Experience collaborating and negotiating with key stakeholders, including Maintenance Service Providers, Original Equipment Manufacturers, and suppliers to meet program goals.
- In depth knowledge of spare parts industry best practices, tools and systems for managing, monitoring, analyzing and reporting on spare parts inventory and logistics.
- Relevant professional certification (e.g. CPIM, CSCP, CLTD, CTSC or related) are considered an asset.

- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
