Summary of responsibilities:
The Advisor, External ReportingAdvisor, External Reportingis responsible for supporting CATSA’s financial accounting and inventory management services, which includes the preparation CATSA’s quarterly and annual financial statements, as well as managing the Auditor General Annual Financial Statement Audit. In addition, this role is primarily responsible for analyzing transactions under internal policies, as well as relevant accounting and auditing standards, preparing journal entries, and drafting supporting documentation to support the financial statements. The Advisor, External Reporting performs all other duties and responsibilities related to the position as required.
What you need to succeed
To qualify for the position, you must have:
- Graduation from a recognized college or university with a specialization in accounting, finance, commerce, business administration or another speciality relevant to the duties of the position;
- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.
- 3 to 5 years of financial and/or accounting and/or auditing experience.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

- Experience in financial management of capital assets including inventory, fixed assets, and leases.
- Knowledge of CATSA’s mandate and priorities, as well as an awareness of relevant legislation impacting CATSA.

- Ability to work overtime as required;
- Ability to travel as required
- Language Profile: BBBB;
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance; and
- Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
