Summary of responsibilities:
The Technology Advisor, Maintenance Services will develop and implement maintenance strategies for Computed Tomography (CT) screening equipment and associated networking systems at Canadian airports. As the technical expert, the incumbent will create critical documentation and directives for use by maintenance service providers, ensuring high performance and reliability standards are met. This role requires expertise in CT technology and networking systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to perform related duties as needed. Ideal candidates will have experience in technical documentation and leading maintenance projects, contributing to the integrity of airport operations nationwide. The Technology Advisor, Maintenance Services performs all other duties and responsibilities related to the position as required.
What you need to succeed
To qualify for the position, you must have:
- Graduation from a recognized college or university with a specialization in Technology or another specialty relevant to the duties of the position.
- A minimum of four (4) years of experience in a technical field specific to electronics or computer systems hardware and networking..
- Experience planning, organizing and coordinating various projects and programs.
- Experience researching, analyzing, reporting, and providing recommendations, both orally and in writing, to management regarding equipment maintenance needs.
- Experience conducting lab and operational tests or trials.
- Advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

- Knowledge of the trends and developments of new aviation screening technologies, or other issues impacting the development/implementation of equipment performance and operational standards, and equipment testing and evaluation practices.
- Knowledge of the theories, principles and practices of threat detection, technology evaluation/validation, systems integration, quality assurance, research and analysis, technical reporting, and redundancy.
- Knowledge of computer networking as related to the operation and maintenance of security screening equipment.
Specific work requirements
- Ability to work overtime as required;
- Ability to travel as required
- Language Profile: English essential;
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance; and
- Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
