POSITION TYPE: 0.8 EFT Position Available
SALARY: $63,375 - $96,946 per annum*
*The successful candidate with a Masters or PhD in a related field will receive an Educational Supplement of $2,850 or $5,700 per annum, respectively, pro-rated on an hourly basis.

DUTIES
Red River College Polytechnic is looking for an Instructor for Diagnostic Imaging in the Allied Health Sciences Department. Responsibilities include classroom instruction, supervision and guidance of students, student evaluation, advising of students, maintenance of student records and other professional duties related to instruction. The Instructor will be required to teach Cardiac Sonography theory and lab techniques and assess student skills. The incumbent will also be required to monitor student progress during their clinical terms, participate in department and College committees and assist in student orientation and graduation activities
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- General Diploma in Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography from an accredited training program; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- Active registration with Sonography Canada
- Several years of extensive and current clinical experience in Echocardiography
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in small to large group settings
- Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to use conflict resolution techniques to facilitate positive outcomes
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to present material to diverse groups with the use of appropriate technology
- Proficient in the use of MS office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to teach on campus and remotely
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning and continuous improvement
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in science
- Experience developing curriculum and instructing at a post-secondary level
- Certificate in Teaching for Learning or Adult Education
- Experience developing and instructing distance delivered courses including on-line
- Experience using a Learning Management System (LMS) to deliver blended (synchronous and asynchronous) instruction
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- This position may be required to work evenings and/or weekends
- May be required to work at various RRC Polytech campuses
- Instructors are required to complete the Teaching for Learning (TFL) in Applied Education program or have previously completed the Certificate in Adult Education (CAE)
- This position may be required to work throughout the academic year including the summer months
