Building Service Worker, Nights (Term Full-Time)

POSITION TYPE: Full-Time, Term Position Available (anticipated September 23, 2024 up to August 8, 2025)
SALARY: $35,175 - $49,576 per annum
POSITION LOCATION: Notre Dame Campus (Winnipeg, MB)

DUTIES
Reporting to the Assistant Supervisor, the Building Services Worker performs a variety of janitorial tasks. The Building Service Worker will be responsible to complete daily scheduled cleaning in a defined area, may be required to operate motorized cleaning equipment, respond to emergency clean ups, advise the Supervisor of any minor building maintenance required, set up special events/exams, clean and deep clean indoor and outdoor spaces, wash windows and walls, and other duties, as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience as a cleaner in a commercial, educational or hotel setting
- High School Diploma
- Demonstrated ability to self-initiate and work independently
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Team player with the willingness to learn and be trained a task, work independently and as part of a team
- Strong work ethic; commitment and dedication to the role
- Workplace Health and Safety Training/WHMIS; or willingness to obtain
- Experience in use of ride on auto-scrubbers and ride on sweepers
- Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning and continuous improvement
- Experience waxing and stripping floors, shampooing carpets

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- This position may be required to work evenings and/or weekends
- This position may be required to work overtime
- This position is subject to audiometric assessments
- Incumbent must provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Records Check, including a Vulnerable Persons Sector Check
- Incumbent must be physically able to lift items weighing up to 50lbs.
