Educational Assistant (Term, Full-Time)

POSITION TYPE: Full-Time, Term Position Available (anticipated October 7, 2024 up to March 31, 2025)
SALARY: $51,573 - $72,573 per annum
POSITION LOCATION: Exchange District Campus (Winnipeg, MB)

DUTIES
Reporting to the Director of Entertainment and Media Arts, the Educational Assistant will be responsible for assisting instructional staff and students within the Institute. The incumbent will work with instructors to understand requirements for classes, meet with individual students to review assignments and projects, and assist with troubleshooting. The Educational Assistant will ensure students are learning and meeting standards required in the program. They may also be required to assist in the Institute’s camera room (training will be provided).
The Educational Assistant will have experience in creating and editing video and photography using industry-standard equipment and software, as well as full familiarity with the Adobe Creative Suite programs to create digital graphic design and experience with a Content Management System for website design.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Post-secondary education in Graphic Design, Communication Design, Digital Media Design, or Creative Communications; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- Experience and demonstrated success in a relevant industry
- Experience with the use of the Adobe Creative Suite programs and other video and audio editing tools
- Experience with a Content Management System for website design
- Experience with the use of cameras, audio kits, lenses, lights and gimbals
- Effective written communication skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Ability to problem solve and think critically
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning and continuous improvement
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
