Business Systems Analyst
ITS, Enterprise Applications
POSITION TYPE: Full-Time Position Available
SALARY: $33.05 - $46.61 hourly
POSITION LOCATION: Notre Dame Campus (Winnipeg, MB)

DUTIES
The Business Systems Analyst works closely with the business areas to provide application support and implement changes to the supported applications. They are responsible for requirements gathering, analyzing data, determining alternative solutions, recommending a course of action, coordination of resources/meetings/training, testing changes, implementation support, and post-implementation support. The incumbent will work with a team of Analysts and Software Developers supporting custom-developed applications, third-party applications, or system integrations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma in Information Technology, Business Analysis, or Business Administration; a combination of education and experience may be considered
- Demonstrated experience working in a cross functional environment, with a broad knowledge of standard business processes & other areas within IT
- Experience with analyzing data and determining alternatives
- Experience with requirements gathering and documentation and workflow and/or process flow mapping
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects from inception through to implementation
- Exceptional time-management skills with demonstrated ability to manage change
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with faculty and staff at all levels
- Excellent written communication skills for documentation used by business users, internal ITS staff, or application support
- Ability to gather requirements, analyze data, determine alternative solutions, problem solving, and recommending a course of action
- Ability to complete functional testing to ensure changes are working as designed
- Strong organizational skills
- Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning and continuous improvement
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of post-secondary education operations
- Understanding of solution architecture principles and practices to support solution design
- Related certifications in Change Management, Project management, IT Service Management an asset
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- This position may be required to work evenings and/or weekends
- Incumbent must hold a valid class 5 driver`s license
- This position may be required to work overtime
- This position may be required to travel
- Incumbent must provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Records Check
