Administrative Support, Cheque Distribution
Corporate Services - Corporate Finance
Status: (1) Regular Full-Time position
Salary Range: $45,184 to $56,478 per annum plus comprehensive benefits
Work Mode: On-site
Location: 10 Peel Centre Drive, Brampton
Hours of work: 35 hours per week
Are you a highly motivated details oriented administrative professional who is passionate about Finance?
Reporting to the Supervisor of Corporate Reporting and Receivables, in this position you will work collaboratively to ensure a coordinated and cohesive approach to administrative matters.
What you will do in this role:
- Audit function matching all payments with invoices and backup to ensure accurate payment
- Matching process for 3 cheque runs a week
- Responsible for mailing out payments, special instructions (Doctors, rents, Police, Day Care) and cheque pickup
- Pick up mail and record receipt of all cheques for deposit
- Follow up with Departments for non-AR cheques rec’d and get coding
- Key in journal entries
- Order office supplies
What the role requires:
- High school diploma plus 1-3 years of work related experience in a finance or accounting office setting
- An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered
Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent organizational, communication and customer service skills
- Proficient computer skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Detail oriented combined with an ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities in order to meet deadlines
- Effective team player
- Knowledge of the PeopleSoft Software would be an asset
