Join Our Road Assist Team as a Regular Full-Time Fleet Technician or Associate Fleet Technician in Victoria!

At BCAA, we’re looking for 8 dedicated Fleet Technicians and Associate Fleet Technicians to provide exceptional roadside assistance to our members. Whether you’re an experienced mechanic or looking to grow your skills, we want to hear from you!

What You’ll Do:
- Provide roadside assistance to BCAA members, from basic tasks like tire changes and battery boosts to more complex repairs and towing.
- Conduct mechanical diagnostics and offer solutions for vehicle issues.
- Work in all weather conditions, ensuring a positive experience for members throughout.
- Promote BCAA memberships and inform members about our products and services.
- Maintain BCAA vehicles and equipment, ensuring everything is in good working condition.
- Uphold BCAA’s high service and safety standards.
- Participate in 24/7 rotational shifts, with opportunities to select shifts annually.
What You Bring:
Fleet Technicians:
- Completed your high school diploma, preferably with your Red Seal Certification;
- You have at least 5 years of hands-on automotive repair and diagnostics.
- You’re a good driver with a clean BC Driver License Class 5. You’re confident navigating our cities and towns while driving any size vehicle - including 5-ton trucks, tow trucks, and pickup trucks.
- Capable of lifting at least 70lbs during Member service while prioritizing safety throughout the process.
Associate Fleet Technicians:
- Completed your high school diploma or have relatable experience.
- At least 1-2 years of mechanical experience, preferably within automotive
- You’re a good driver with a clean BC Driver License Class 5. You’re confident navigating our cities and towns, regardless of the vehicle size, from two-seaters to 5-ton trucks.
- Capable of safely lifting at least 70lbs during Member service, while prioritizing safety throughout the process.
- You’re confident using technology (laptops, tablets and smartphones) and have strong English communication skills. A second language is an asset.

Internal Applicants, please note that this is a Grade 10 role (Fleet Tech) and a Grade 8 role (Associate Fleet Tech) and the internal posting will be available until September 19, 2024.
The salary range for the Fleet Tech position is $66,515.04 to $83,143.80, plus a performance bonus target of 5%, with the opportunity to earn up to 9%.
The salary range for the Associate Fleet Tech position is $54,957.00 to $68,696.16, plus a performance bonus target of 5%, with the opportunity to earn up to 9%.
