In this role, you will:
- Manage content planning for Communications-led sections of the Red Cross corporate website.
- Manage a team of content editors to ensure regular and timely content updates on the website.
- Act as a connection for French-language web content and project management.
- Understand current web trends and best practices specific to the work of Canadian Red Cross, including strong knowledge of SEO and accessibility requirements.
- Build relationships with cross-functional teams to understand their needs and goals and ensure that the audience perspective is being considered.
- Manage web content refresh projects in support of internal departments and teams.
- Contribute to regular analytics reporting (monthly, quarterly, and as required during emergencies) and provide data-informed insights, as required.
- Maintain an understanding of trends, feedback and metrics of similar organizations.
- Support marketing content requests.
- Provide on-call coverage on a rotation, to ensure timely updates to the website during emergencies.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or work experience or training in communications, online marketing or similar field.
- Requires a minimum of five to eight years of experience in communications and client relations in the area(s) of Public Relations/Communications or Marketing/Digital Content.
- Fluency in French and English is required.
- Experience managing content writers and editors.
- Strong experience in managing web content projects.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Experience using a CMS and publishing web content.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal and relationship building skills.
Working Conditions :
- Much of the work is performed in a virtual work environment.
- May include long to moderate hours sitting and using computers and office equipment.
- This position may require travel to attend conferences, workshops and meetings as required.
