Summary of responsibilities:
The Analyst, Business Systems is responsible for assisting business system stakeholders in developing and maintaining business process in conjunction with IT systems. The incumbent will meet with clients to clarify business system requirements, plan, and conduct business systems analysis, and develop plans to streamline existing processes. The Analyst, Business Systems performs all other duties and responsibilities related to the position as required.
What you need to succeed
To qualify for the position, you must have:
- Graduation from a recognized college or university with specialization in computer science, information technology/management, or another specialty relevant to the duties of the position.
- A minimum of four years experience in business analysis, requirements definition, building of system solutions and deployment of business requirements for information and enterprise systems.
- Experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements for business systems.
- Experience preparing RFPs, including statement of work, solution/service requirements, and evaluation grids.
- Knowledge of business and systems development methodology.
- Knowledge and understanding of project management, quality assurance principles and practices.
- Experience creating project schedules, defining roles and responsibilities and resource planning.
- Experience providing status reporting risk and issues logs and mitigations plans.
- Knowledge and familiarity of the IT environment, including all aspects and activities pertaining to the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL).
- Knowledge of application testing and test development.

- Knowledge of CATSA's mandate and priorities, as well as an awareness of relevant legislation impacting CATSA.
- Experience in contract/vendor management.
- Certification in business analysis from an accredited institution.
- Knowledge of International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) best
- Knowledge and awareness of BABOK best practices.
Specific work requirements:
- Ability to work overtime as required;
- Ability to travel as required
- Language Profile: BBBB;
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance; and
- Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
