Accounts Payable Admin Support
CFO & Corporate Services- Corporate Finance & Treasurer
Status: (1) Contract Part Time; Up to 13 months
Salary Range: $45,184 -$56,478 plus comprehensive benefits
Work mode: On-Site
Location: 10 Peel Centre Drive, Brampton
Hours of work: 21 hours per week
Who we are:
Corporate Finance is a division of Finance, committed to maximizing the value of financial planning with a fixed control on long term financial strategic viewpoints and execution for the Region of Peel.
There are six service groups within Corporate Finance: Financial Policy and Development Financing, Accounting Services, Loss Management and Insurance Services, Financial Systems Development Support, Peel Housing Corporation Finance and Treasury Services.
What you will do in this role:
- Provide filing and clerical support for the accounts payable section
- Provide central filing service for the section
- Provide the mail sort and delivery service for the accounting branch
- Print, sort and file invoices
- Provide Customer service to all internal clients
What the role requires:
- High school diploma
- At least one year of job related experience
- Combination of education and experience may be considered
Skills/Abilities:
- Proficient with MS Office Suite; especially Word, Excel and Outlook
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise with internal and external clients and staff members
- Excellent computer keyboarding/typing skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and tight deadlines
- Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias
Nice to have:
- Working experience in PeopleSoft Financials
- Intermediate skills in Excel
- Invoice Experience
- Minimum 1 year experience working in Accounts Payable Department
