Salary Range: $89,469-$111,834 per annum plus comprehensive benefits

Are you passionate about creating a positive, engaging workplace culture? We’re looking for a strategic and innovative Employee Engagement Specialist to take the lead in driving impactful programs that connect with employees and enhance their experience. You’ll be at the forefront of shaping our 'Peel Celebrates' employee recognition program, our 'Your Voice' employee survey program and supporting Human Resources communications, ensuring our employees stay informed, engaged, and inspired.
Lead the Charge on Employee Engagement:
- Drive the Peel Celebrates Employee Recognition Program, including the employee awards, long service recognition and employee appreciation, ensuring recognition is meaningful and impactful.
- Coordinate engaging employee events, such as our Long Service recognition event and Take Our Kids to Work Day, creating memorable experiences for employees.
- Contribute to the Your Voice Program, supporting survey administration to enhance employee feedback loops and insights used to shape business decisions across the organization
Communications Leadership:
- Collaborate with Communications to ensure HR messages are effectively delivered through various channels, including social media, newsletters, leadership communications, and Peel’s intranet.
Expert Guidance & Collaboration:
- Provide expert advice and support to HR leadership on employee engagement, communications, and change management strategies.
- Build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners, ensuring HR programs are aligned with organizational goals and best practices.
Innovation & Process Improvement:
- Continuously assess and enhance employee engagement initiatives, ensuring they evolve with company needs and employee feedback.
- Lead the development of new processes and practices to improve efficiency and effectiveness in delivering employee engagement programs.

What we require:
- University degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related
- 5 years of work related experience in employee feedback, employee recognition or communications
- Expert knowledge of employee feedback systems, tools and techniques
- Expert knowledge of employee recognition systems, tools and techniques
- Demonstrated ability to craft clear and audience-specific messaging, including writing content for the web
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in using project management and change management principles
- Strong research skills and critical thinking skills
- Ability to conceptualize, develop recommendations to support decision making, and structure complex problems
- Excellent verbal, written communication, and facilitation skills
- Advanced computer skills including all Microsoft applications

In this role, you'll enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid work arrangement. This means you'll have the ability to work off-site and on-site as needed, depending on operational needs at the 7120 Hurontario Street, Mississauga worksite. The frequency of on-site work may vary from week to week, depending on operational demands, which can evolve over time.
It's important to note that your off-site work location must be within the province of Ontario. This ensures that we're compliant with all regulations and policies.The Region of Peel offers job based flexible hours of work that allows employees to manage personal and professional responsibilities while at the same time ensures business operational needs and customer service expectations are achieved.
