Technical Analyst, Servicing Connections (Development Engineer)
Public Works – Development Services
Status: Regular Full-timeSalary Range: $78,336 - $97,920 per annum plus comprehensive benefits

Location: 10 Peel Centre Drive, Brampton
Hours of work: 35 hours/week
Reporting to the Manager, Servicing Connections in Development Services, you will be responsible for evaluating industrial, institutional, commercial and intensification development proposals and designs for conformity with current Region of Peel standards, design criteria and specifications, MECP guidelines and applicable legislation.
What you will do in this role:
- Responding to enquiries from developers, engineers, contractors, architects, departmental staff, homeowners and other interested parties regarding interpretation of Regional Standards and Specifications and/or other applicable laws pursuant to described works
- Collaborate with internal and external agencies regarding defined requirements for servicing approvals
- Coordination of proposed servicing with Local Municipality requirements for development approvals and the Ontario Building Code
- Commenting on development procedures, material specifications and standards
- Reviewing Functional Servicing Reports and Storm Water Management Reports
- Review construction documentation and coordinate with inspections for servicing works
- Review and comment on Draft Plan of Condominium applications, condominium water servicing agreements, PUCC circulations and encroachment applications
- Other duties as assigned
What the role requires:
- Successful completion of a CET designation
- 2 years of related work experience. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
- Working knowledge of Hansen and EIM is preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Region’s Water, Wastewater and Storm sewer systems
Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent time-management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize workload effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
- Good computer skills utilizing software applications and specialized programs, including Microsoft Office, Clariti (Salesforce), ArcGIS and Adobe Pro
- Strong written, oral, and interpersonal skills to liaise with external and internal clients
- Solid and proven public relations
- Detail oriented
- Sound judgment and decision-making
- Proven ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize workload with the ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure situations
- Strong team player

Work Mode & Job Location: In this role, you'll enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid work arrangement. This means you'll have the ability to work off-site and on-site as needed, depending on operational needs at the 10 Peel Centre Drive, Brampton worksite. The frequency of on-site work may vary from week to week, depending on operational demands, which can evolve over time.
It's important to note that your off-site work location must be within the province of Ontario. This ensures that we're compliant with all regulations and policies.
