Job Summary
The Human Resources Coordinator takes on a diverse array of administrative responsibilities, while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality. The Human Resources Coordinator supports HR teams on daily activities, programs, projects and initiatives. Responds to inquiries and research information. This role will report to the Equity Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Director, previous EDI experience would be considered an asset.
Job Duties
-Performs daily clerical and administrative tasks for HR, such as preparing presentations, reports, and drafting correspondence.
- Gathers data from various sources and assists in preparing standardized reports.
- Coordinates implementation of approved recommendations with leadership.
- Assists in administering TransLink’s HR policies and collaborates with stakeholders.
- Maintains confidential files and ensures accuracy and completeness of documents.
- Supports HR team in project development and execution, including coordinating materials and organizing meetings.
- Applies organizational policies when responding to queries and seeks guidance when needed.
- Conducts accurate data entry and utilizes HR systems as necessary.
- Supports planning and execution of special events for timely implementation.

What You Bring
- Completion of a program in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or relevant field, with a minimum of two (2) years of HR or Administrative experience.
- Solid understanding of HR concepts, principles, theories, and practices, including basic knowledge of British Columbia employment law.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, with experience in HRIS preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, along with solid time management and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with exceptional attention to detail and accountability.
- Demonstrated discretion and confidentiality in handling private information, knowing when to escalate if necessary.
