POSITION TYPE: Full-Time Position Available
SALARY: $55,494 - $76,003 per annum
POSITION LOCATION: Exchange District Campus (Winnipeg, MB)

DUTIES
Reporting to the Chair, Culinary Arts and Baking, the Supervisor, Operations plans and oversees the daily non-academic functions of the School of Hospitality and Culinary Arts, located at the Paterson Global Foods Institute (PGI). The role ensures the efficient running of the Culinary Exchange while delivering excellent customer service and product quality to PGI guests. Functions of the position include supervision of Food Service staff, liaison with the Instructors and Chairs of the School, the Sustainability staff, Facilities, and the ordering/receiving staff. The Supervisor, Operations ensures timely communication, efficient planning and coordination between the academic timetable and food service activities, Sustainability and Facilities. Management of lab equipment and inventory are also functions of this position.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma in Culinary Arts or Hotel and Restaurant Management; A combination of relevant education experience and may be considered
- Recent supervisory experience in the food service industry
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Excellent customer service skills including the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated organizational skills including the ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Effective interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
- Excellent attention to detail and planning skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and Database entry
- Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning and continuous improvement
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
- Red Seal Certification in Culinary Arts

- This position may be required to work evenings and/or weekends
- This position may be required to work overtime
