What To Expect When Applying For This Process
This process aims to fill Collections Contact Officer (SP0439) positions in different sectors and offices.
This job requires to communicate with taxpayers, their representatives, and third parties to gather the information required to recover outstanding amounts. Also, it implies to analyse files, resolve or refer compliance issues, and apply the policies and legislative requirements related to debt collection. The position of Collections Contact Officer requires strong negotiation skills in order to reach efficient and respectful payment agreements with clients, as well as ensure teamwork and collaboration. You must also be proficient with the Microsoft Office and comfortable working simultaneously with multiple computer systems.

SCREENING FOR PREREQUISITES STAGE
Who can apply?
Persons living in Canada and Canadian citizens and permanent residents living abroad.
Preference for appointment will be given to veterans, Canadian citizens and permanent residents.
Employees are required to work on-site at a CRA-approved location a minimum of three days per week or 60% of their regular monthly work schedule. Individual exceptions may be granted based on individual circumstances and the nature of the work being performed.
The workplace will be determined based on the position to be staffed and operational needs :

Important Considerations
Wearing headphones or a telephone headset is required for extended periods of time, as is constant exposure to a computer screen. In addition, you would agree to work up to 37.5 hours per week, according to a work schedule between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m, in addition to attending, following and succeeding a in-person training at the appropriate time.
