Duties and responsibilities
Reporting to the Senior Supervisor, Employment Services, the Supervisor is responsible for the leadership, coordination, delivery and oversight of Partners in Employment services in both Regina and Moose Jaw. The successful candidate may be based in either community with access to office space in both locations. Regular on-site presence in both offices is required to provide staff oversight, support service coordination, build relationships, and ensure supervisor accessibility.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide day-to-day leadership, supervision, guidance, and support to staff in Regina and Moose Jaw.
- Oversee service delivery, workflow coordination, and quality practice consistent with supported employment philosophy and best practices.
- Support staff development through coaching, mentoring, orientation, training, and performance feedback.
- Encourage and role model the use of best practices within supported employment. Where necessary, and appropriate, provide feedback to further guide staff to improve client/employer outcomes.
- Monitor program outcomes, documentation, and reporting to support accountable, high-quality service delivery.
- Provide consultation to staff to determine appropriate course of action when dealing with clients who experience challenging issues that affect their Employment Action Plan, and/or participation, and to the services offered to employers of clients.
- Support intake, referrals, presentations, service planning, and other department/organizational initiatives as assigned.
- Build and maintain relationships with employers, government, schools, community organizations, referral sources, and other stakeholders.
- Responsible for the research, development, and expansion of supported employment services.
- Collaborate with the Senior Supervisor, Employment Services, and Marketing & Communications Specialist to develop and update marketing tools, including print materials and social media posts.
Qualifications
- Degree in Human Services, Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Business Administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum two years of related experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
- Knowledge of disability, employability, supported employment philosophy, and person-centred practice.
- Knowledge of foundational skills that relate to the delivery of supported employment programming (philosophy of supported employment, behavioural intervention, adult based learning methods, motivational interviewing, coaching, and person centered approaches).
- Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and computer skills in a Windows-based environment.
- Valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Driver’s Licence and access to a reliable vehicle with regular travel between Regina and Moose Jaw.
