MG-SPS-01, MG-SPS-02, and MG-SPS-03 DUTIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to):
- Leads, directs, facilitates and monitors the activities of the team to meet established objectives by assigning work according to resource availability, priorities and client demands.
- Administers collective agreements, staff relation issues, human resource policies and procedures and participates in the staffing process.
- Evaluates individual team member's training needs and recommends and organizes the necessary training.
- Assesses the impact on the team of changes in policy and procedures. Identifies and recommends improvements to the team's program delivery procedures. Recommends changes to internal policy and procedures and solves problems relating to processing income tax returns.
- Provides input and recommendations to the manager for the work disposal plans, budgets and long-range forecasts for the Section and informs the team accordingly.
- Resolves problems with external clients and/or their representatives and with internal clients in the Tax Centre and Tax Services Offices.
- Provides advice to team members on program policies and procedures.
- Represents the team at meetings.

This staffing process applies to a variety of Sudbury Tax Centre supervisory positions responsible for T1- Individual, T2- Business, Verification and Validation, and Benefits Programs related workflows. Job descriptions may include but are not limited to:

The Associated Salary Ranges Are As Follows
- MG-SPS-01 (Salary Range – $67,133 to $86,542)
- MG-SPS-02 (Salary Range – $73,410 to $94,641)
- MG-SPS-03 (Salary Range – $78,956 to $101,787)

INTENT OF THE PROCESS
The Sudbury Tax Centre will be offering temporary appointments for a duration of up to 6 months. Shifts for these opportunities may vary between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. in the Eastern Standard Time Zone.
As there is an immediate need to staff these positions, applications will be processed when they are received. For this reason, we encourage you to submit your application as soon as possible. Note that the closing date and time on this notice of job opportunity may change.
We may give preference to the first 200 applicants who meet the staffing requirements. Candidates will be screened against the prerequisite staffing requirements on an on-going basis. If you are considered further, we will notify you in writing of the next steps in this staffing process.
Once you accept an offer of employment, you may not be eligible for other opportunities from this staffing process until your current contract ends, to minimize business disruption. You will, however, remain in the pool(s) until they expire.
The pool(s) established from this staffing process may be used to staff similar positions.

Persons residing within reasonable commuting distance (under 125 kilometres) of the Sudbury Tax Centre located at 1050 Notre Dame Avenue, Sudbury Ontario.
Preference for appointment will be given to veterans, Canadian citizens and permanent residents.
If you are a candidate from the general public, you will have to pay for any expenses related to your participation in this staffing process, as well as any relocation costs if you receive an offer of employment from this process.
Qualified members and former members of the Canadian Armed Forces who receive an offer of employment are not entitled to relocation costs from the CRA. They may, however, be entitled to a final relocation from the Department of National Defence.

Essential staffing requirements
Minimum Education Required For MG-SPS-01 And MG-SPS-02 Positions
- Successful completion of a secondary school diploma
MG-SPS-03 (MG0193) - This Position Requires Additional Educational Requirements
- Successful completion of a secondary school diploma AND
- Successful completion of the following courses or field of studies from a recognized postsecondary institution or from a recognized professional accounting association:
- SP Group II - Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) Intermediate Financial Reporting 2 or FA3 or Intermediate Financial Accounting 2 or Intermediate Accounting 2.

If you have foreign education credentials, you must have your education credentials confirmed by a recognized credential assessment service and provide proof of Canadian equivalency to the staffing board. Experience
A minimum of three (3) consecutive months of experience within the last twelve (12) months leading the work of others as a supervisor, manager, or as a subject matter expert in an employment setting.
This experience must have included at least one (1) of the following responsibilities:
- assigning, coordinating, or organizing work activities;
- providing guidance, coaching, training, or direction to others;
- monitoring progress and evaluating results against established objectives;
- resolving issues, addressing concerns, or supporting decision-making;
- managing resources, schedules, workloads, or competing priorities; and/or
- contributing to the achievement of operational, service delivery, project, or organizational objectives.
Experience must have been obtained at the time of application.References will be required to validate the essential experience.
