Marketing Lead – Easter Seals Alberta

As Marketing Lead, you will:

Position Summary
·The Marketing Lead is responsible for planning, developing, and executing strategies to raise awareness of Easter Seals Alberta’s mission, programs, and events.
·This role plays a critical part in storytelling, brand management, stakeholder engagement, and donor communications to support fundraising, community outreach, and organizational growth.
·The Marketing Lead provides a blend of strategic thinking, creativity, strong communication skills, and a passion for making a difference through effective storytelling and engagement strategies tailored to the ESA’s mission and audience.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Brand Management
·Maintain and strengthen the Easter Seals Alberta brand across all platforms.
·Ensure consistent messaging and visual identity across campaigns and communications.
·Create and implement comprehensive marketing and communications strategies aligned with ESA’s mission, goals, values and that advance brand identity and increase visibility.
·Ensure all marketing and communications activities comply with legal and ethical standards, including privacy regulations and industry best practices.
·Stay informed about trends, innovations, and best practices in non-profit marketing and communications to continuously improve strategies and outcomes.
Digital Marketing & Communications
·Manage the organization’s digital presence, including but not limited to: website, social media, and email marketing.
·Create and schedule engaging content to increase awareness and drive engagement.
·Oversee digital marketing efforts such as social media management, email campaigns, online advertising, and website content management to effectively reach and engage community members.
·Update and maintain the ESA website with fresh content.
·Use analytics tools to measure digital performance and optimize strategies accordingly.
Fundraising & Event Promotion
·Drive participation and community engagement through targeted outreach and multimedia campaigns.
·Coordinate media relations and secure local and regional press coverage for events and initiatives.
·Plan, coordinate, and execute marketing campaigns to raise awareness and drive donations or participation in ESA’s fundraising initiatives.
Content Creation & Storytelling
·Source and develop compelling stories from program participants, staff, and volunteers to illustrate impact on various platforms including websites, social media, newsletters, blogs, press releases, and marketing materials.
·Oversee content production (copywriting, photography, video) for various platforms and donor communications.
·Maintain a content calendar that aligns with fundraising and awareness goals.
Stakeholder & Community Engagement
·Work closely with program staff to understand and promote services and impact.
·Foster relationships with media, partners, influencers, and volunteers to amplify reach.
·Represent Easter Seals Alberta at public and media events as needed.
·Provide tours of Easter Seals Camp Horizon as needed.
·Manage media relations, press releases, and media inquiries to generate positive media coverage and enhance ESA’s public image.
·Build and nurture relationships with community stakeholders, including local businesses, organizations, influencers, and community leaders, to foster partnerships and support for the ESA’s mission.
Marketing Operations & Budgeting
·Oversee marketing budget and, in collaboration with the Director of Philanthropy, allocate resources effectively for maximum impact.
·Manage vendor relationships (e.g., designers, printers, media buyers) as needed.
·Ensure all marketing initiatives comply with accessibility and privacy standards.
·Other duties as assigned.
Key Deliverables
·Annual Marketing & Communications Plan with campaign timelines, goals, and performance metrics.
·Monthly Analytics Reports detailing digital engagement, campaign performance, and recommendations.
·Quarterly Newsletters and regular donor communications.
·Event Marketing Kits including social graphics, posters, press releases, and talking points.
·Content Library of testimonials, photos, videos, and written pieces aligned with impact themes.
·Updated website with current program information, event promotion, and donor resources.
·Brand Guidelines Document to ensure organizational consistency in messaging and visuals.
Qualifications
·Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
·3–5 years of experience in marketing or communications.
·Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
·Strong project management and organizational abilities.
·Proficiency with tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Mailchimp, Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, and WordPress.
·Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced environment.
·Passion for community building and social impact.
Other Responsibilities include:
·The Marketing Lead is 35 hours/week and reports to the Director of Philanthropy
·This position will require a mix of remote work and in office, or at our camp property.
·Ability to work evenings and weekends, as needed.
·Valid Driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle is a requirement for this position.
·A criminal records search and an intervention record check are conditions of employment.
