Opportunity: Research Assistant – Operations & Innovation
Location: Calgary, AB (Onsite – in-person at Main Office)
Commitment: 3-5 hours/week
Duration: 3-6months
Reports To: Services Manager & CEO
Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and curious Volunteer Research Assistant to support program development, operational improvement, and innovative practices at Resilient Hearts. This role is ideal for someone interested in research, social services, and nonprofit innovation who wants to make a direct impact on building inclusive programs for adults with developmental disabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research on best practices in disability services, entrepreneurship, and community inclusion.
- Gather and analyze data to inform decision-making and program improvements.
- Assist with developing surveys, evaluation tools, and reports.
- Support the documentation of new initiatives and innovative practices.
- Contribute to brainstorming and presenting recommendations to strengthen Resilient Hearts’ operations.
- Stay current on trends, policies, and funding opportunities related to disability inclusion and entrepreneurship.
Qualifications
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Comfortable reviewing reports, academic sources, and community resources.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
- Ability to synthesize findings into clear, actionable insights.
- Interest in disability inclusion, social innovation, or community services.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
