This position will support day-to-day operations of the HR department. This role provides administrative support to the HR, Health & Safety, Payroll and Accommodations departments. This position reports to the HR Administrator or designate and is part of the Human Resources Department team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the Director of Human Resources and broader HR team.
- Assist with general clerical tasks such as filing, mail distribution, data entry, photocopying, and ordering office supplies.
- Maintain both digital and physical filing systems related to HR, accommodations, payroll, and safety.
- Coordinate ad hoc administrative tasks across departments as required.
- Provide administrative support to the Payroll Manager; keying timesheets, mail distribution, filing, faxing, and photocopying, maintaining the payroll filing system, and other general office duties.
- Assist in the coordination of health and safety training activities, including maintaining accurate records of completed training and certifications.
- Support the update and distribution of the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and support wellness outreach and communication initiatives in collaboration with the HR team.
- Support in filling and organizing documents.
- Support in the HR procedures as requested.
- Adhere to the Stratford Festival Health & Safety Commitment and Procedures and ensure that safe work practices and policies are supported and enforced within reporting structure.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge in Microsoft Office programs (Word, excel, outlook).
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program related to Human Resources, Business, Administration, Theatre Studies. (preferred)
- Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills.
- Self-motivated.
