ABOUT THE TEAM
RRC Polytech’s Portage Campus is located in the Central Plains region of Manitoba and offers a broad range of full-time diploma and certificate programs, as well as a variety of part-time courses and workshops, providing opportunities for personal and professional development for students at various stages in their lives and careers.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Providing reception, compiling information, maintaining records and distribution of mail, assisting students with registration, admissions, and course selection processes, performing various clerical functions such as electronic record keeping, filing, faxing, photocopying, handbook and brochure updates, preparation of correspondence, forms and reports, etc. Responsible for the ordering and maintaining of textbook inventory, ordering materials and supplies, cash/electronic payments of tuition, books and miscellaneous fees, colleague data-entry and course section set-up and maintenance/adjustments, contacting clients, students, sponsors and instructor, other duties as assigned. Creation and coordination of evening and weekend courses and working closely with the Marketing team to ensure adequate registration.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- Certificate in office administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- Experience providing administrative/secretarial supports in a post-secondary or office environment
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Experience with various computer applications such as Microsoft Office and/or on-line systems.
- Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to use conflict resolution techniques to facilitate positive outcomes
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning and continuous improvement

- Salary Range for this position: $49,595 - $69,838 per annum
- Generous Paid Vacation: full-time employees accumulate a minimum of 15-days vacation per year, increasing to 30 days with service, while full-time Instructors accumulate 44 days per year. Information on casual and part-time vacation accrual is outlined in the Collective Agreement or the Terms and Conditions for Excluded Employees as applicable
- December Break: employees receive time off with pay during the period between Boxing Day and New Year's Day
