The Senior Community Liaison – Indigenous plays a key role in coordinating, supporting, and delivering programs and services that respond to the needs and priorities of schools and communities across Nunavut. The role works closely with internal teams, external partners, schools, and community members to ensure services are culturally safe, responsive, and delivered effectively. The Senior Community Liaison – Indigenous delivers workshops and training to students and educators in schools across Nunavut, supporting prevention, preparedness, and community resilience. The role also supports response to social emergencies by providing non-clinical psychosocial support and stabilization. The role builds relationships, supports meaningful community engagement, and contributes to the effective delivery of youth engagement programming. The role is responsible for ensuring service delivery aligns with relevant standards, policies, and community needs while incorporating local knowledge, cultural context, and Inuit perspectives. In this role, you will: Build and maintain relationships with schools, educators, students, community organizations/structures and partners to foster culturally safe engagement reflecting commitments against the CRC Indigenous Peoples Framework. Coordinate and support the planning and execution of youth engagement program strategy and service delivery activities that reflects cultural inclusion and safety. Respond to Social Emergency situations across the territory of Nunavut, including providing psychosocial support. Ensure youth engagement services in Nunavut are delivered efficiently, effectively, and in alignment with CRC standards, policies, and community needs. Serve as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring smooth communication and engagement that aligns with school/community and funder expectations. Provide administrative and technical support for program implementation, including coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, managing and analyzing program documentation ensuring alignment to program parameters, and monitoring program progress. Coordinate with program partners, including schools, community agencies/leaders, government agencies, not-for-profit organizations, and other stakeholders, to ensure effective collaboration and coordination of program activities. Contribute to program monitoring and evaluation efforts, including data collection, analysis, and reporting, to measure program impact and effectiveness. Support and review program/project reporting and documentation ensuring alignment and completion, including preparing program/project reports, success stories, and other program or project-related materials. Collaborate and coordinate with peers and other program teams to share knowledge and ensure program alignment and delivery. Identify areas for process improvement within the program and service delivery framework and recommend changes. What we are looking for: Qualifications include a minimum of 4-5 years' experience and a 1-2 year post-secondary certification/diploma and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Fluency in both English and Inuktitut is required, with demonstrated ability in written translation and comprehension. Lived and/or has professional experience with Inuit communities. Demonstrated experience in facilitating workshops, training sessions, and educational programs to children, youth and adults. Demonstrated experience working directly with Inuit communities, organizations, or governments in a culturally safe, respectful, and reciprocal manner. Active in broader Inuit networks and has an enduring commitment to sharing and advancing knowledge derived through Inuit knowledge systems including balancing Western and Inuit world views. Experience in program coordination, including the development and implementation of program plans, budgets, and evaluation activities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and SharePoint is required. Ability to assist with program planning, implementation, and evaluation. Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret program data for decision-making. Ability to identify, investigate and analyze problems, identify root causes and risks, and apply technical, functional and organizational knowledge to develop solutions. Communication skills, diplomacy and empathy to interpret information and deliver advice, clarify client or stakeholder needs, offer solutions, and resolve escalations in new or somewhat sensitive situations. Must have access to and maintain appropriate clothing and footwear for cold weather conditions and seasonal environments (e.g., winter boots, parka/jacket, snowpants, toque, scarf, gloves, etc.). Must be First Aid certified or willing to obtain First Aid certification.
