Building Information Analyst

Status: (1) Regular Full-Time position
Salary Range: $92,151 -$115,189 per annum plus comprehensive benefits
Hiring Range: $92,151 - $103, 670 per annum plus comprehensive benefits

Hours of Work: 35 hours per week
Are you passionate about the intersection of technology, data, and facilities management? Join our team as a Building Information Analyst, where you'll play a key role in shaping the future of building information and asset management across the organization.
In this dynamic role, you'll lead and support the administration of facility and asset management systems, working closely with stakeholders across departments to ensure effective planning, maintenance, and optimization of our building infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Facility Management Systems Oversight
- Administer and support established systems such as Computer-Aided Facility Management (CAFM) and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Lead data migration and integration of newly generated knowledge into core systems.
- Monitor system performance, schedule maintenance, and implement enhancements either directly or through vendor coordination.
Data Management & Analysis
- Conduct complex data analysis, prepare detailed reports, and provide actionable insights to inform asset planning and maintenance strategies.
- Review, upload, and validate facility and asset data, identifying trends and projecting future needs.
- Track key performance metrics and support strategic decision-making with evidence-based recommendations.
Training, Support & Continuous Improvement
- Deliver user training, technical support, and business tool coaching for internal teams.
- Advise on system upgrades and business tool enhancements; test modifications before deployment.
- Stay informed of industry trends and emerging technologies, recommending innovative software solutions that align with divisional goals.
Stakeholder Engagement & Vendor Management
- Act as a liaison between business units, technology partners (e.g., D&IS), and third-party vendors.
- Ensure alignment between system capabilities and operational needs through effective communication and collaboration.
What You Bring
- A strong foundation in facility or asset management systems (CAFM, CMMS, EAM).
- Experience in business analysis, data visualization, and project coordination.
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving, continuous improvement, and change management.

Qualifications:
- Architectural, Engineering or related Building Sciences degree combined with Computer Science diploma or Certification such as Microsoft Certified Professional, or Microsoft System Engineering
- Minimum of five years progressive relevant experience in the building information field; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered
- Fundamental understanding of asset management and life cycle analysis
- Knowledge and experience in report writing
- Experience with CAFM/CIFM database tools
- Extensive experience in Excel, such as creating and manipulating pivot tables
- In-depth knowledge of CMMS tools
- Familiarity with autoCAD an asset
Skills/Ability:
- Excellent organizational skills in order to create own work schedules, prioritized and prepared in advance, and set realistic time-scales
- Strong facilitation, presentation, research & analytical skills
- A team player, ability to develop effective and supportive relationships with all colleagues, and promote/maintain collaborative approaches
- Ability to communicate effectively at various stakeholder levels with decisiveness, tact and composure

In this role, you’ll benefit from the flexibility of a hybrid work arrangement that prioritizes meaningful in-person connection. A minimum of two days per week on-site is expected, with additional in-person presence as operational needs evolve. This arrangement allows for a blend of in person and hybrid work that adapts to support both organizational priorities and employee flexibility and is subject to change over time.
