As a multi-sport, year-round organization who provides access to mountain sport and recreation, RMA offers adaptive sports equipment, specialised instructors, trained volunteers and unique training opportunities. Start Date: As soon as possible
Term: Part Time Permanent (0.6 FTE)
Timescale: 24 hours per week (flexible schedule, days of work negotiable)
Location: Canmore, AB (minimum 60% in-person, hybrid work-from-home available)
Working Conditions: Shared office environment
Wage: $50,000 - $55,000 annual salary (1.0 FTE) - prorated to $30,000 - $33,000 annual salary (0.6 FTE)(commensurate on certifications and experience)

Position Overview
The Fund Development Coordinator plays a crucial role in executing RMA’s fund development plan. This role focuses on grant writing and reporting, administrative support of donor management activities, and coordinating event fundraising. The successful candidate will support and receive mentorship from the Resource Development Officer, as well as working collaboratively with other members of the RMA team. This role requires someone who has a keen administrative mind with high attention to detail, excels at managing simultaneous projects and deadlines, and also thrives when building relationships and working with people.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage the administration of the grant pipeline:
- Under the guidance of the Resource Development Officer, research and identify grants in alignment with RMA’s strategic direction
- Track and update the schedule of grant proposals, applications, and reports
- Compile and write grant proposals and applications
- Coordinate with team members to gather all information for grant reports; complete all reports in a timely manner
- Oversee event fundraising activities, including RMA’s internal “Ability” fundraising events and external third-party fundraising events:
- Maintain accountability for the planning and delivery process of internal fundraisers; manage project timelines and documents, facilitate the involvement of other team members to leverage their expertise, and ensure clear communication throughout the collaborative process.
- Act as the central point of contact for external groups looking to fundraise on behalf of RMA; ensure alignment with RMA values, proper fund management, and stewardship of new and existing relationships with third-party groups.
- Collaborate with the Resource Development Officer on any third-party relationships with the potential for bigger and more significant partnership.
- Support the Resource Development Officer with administration of donor management activities:
- Manage the donor system Canada Helps, including running reports and pulling data
- Ensure compliance of donation details and tax receipting
- Support donor communication for identification, cultivation, maintenance, and recognition
Requirements
- Qualifications:
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Check
- Post-secondary education in fundraising, communications, public relations, marketing, or a related field an asset
- Class 5 Driver’s Licence an asset
- Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience coordinating and organizing events
- Meticulous attention to detail, with excellent organizational and analytical skills
- Exceptional time management skills, and the ability to juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills, with both written and verbal communication
- High degree of technological proficiency
- Experience in a fundraising role an asset
- Familiarity with donor management systems, particularly Canada Helps, an asset
- Familiarity with individuals with physical and/or neurodivergent challenges an asset
