Booking Supervisor (Full Time)

Salary: $44,138.00/yr - $55,172.00/yr

What qualifications are we looking for?
At YMCA Calgary we strive to ensure our employees are a fit based on their strengths, interests, and future goals. The successful candidate will have the following;
· Minimum of 2 years’ experience in accounting procedures and office administration;
· Competent computer skills including Word and Excel and ability to learn new systems quickly;
· Able to multi-task and demonstrate strong time-management skills;
· Current Intermediate (Standard) First Aid and CPR C certification (CPR recertified within the last 12 months);
· Evidence of a clear Police Information Check including a Vulnerable Sector Search;
· Three professional references required.
What does this role look like at YMCA Calgary?
The Booking Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing facility bookings, special events, and ensuring that rental and booking systems are developed and adhered to by all users.
As part of a Health, Fitness, and Aquatics Branch (HFA) this position will also be responsible for Duty Manager shifts on a regular basis. Ensuring the maintenance of the branch and coordinating health and safety responses in event of an emergency.
Duties and responsibilities include:
· Supporting Business Manager with marketing and selling facility spaces for sporting, special event bookings and theatre events; facilitating booking processes (market/sell, accept bookings and collect payment)
· Assist with the review and establishment of rental rates, conflict resolution and special events criteria
· Track and monitor facility utilization statistics and client feedback
· Use conflict resolution and problem-solving skills with user groups, space, times, facility usage, and etc.
· Assume a leadership position, acting as a problem solver and decision maker when Managers are not present, ensuring the Brookfield Residential YMCA at Seton’s image and standard of cleanliness is always maintained.
· Overseeing and providing support to YMCA staff during day-to-day operations
· Provide exceptional customer service by utilizing strong communication and troubleshooting skills to manage all customer inquiries, requests, and complaints
· The ability to communicate and sell YMCA services, focusing on facility bookings
· A thorough understanding of various aspects of business including strong knowledge of the facility layout, program offerings, public and all other event schedules, and emergency procedures
· Support on evenings and weekends for events, theatre and rentals
