Full Time Recreational Therapist (2 year Term Certain)

We are seeking a passionate and creative Recreation Therapist. The Recreation Therapist will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating recreational programs that enhance the well-being and quality of life for individuals residing in our Out-of-Home Living Program (OOHLP) as well as some recreational opportunities for the Early Support Program (ESP).

As a member of a dynamic team, you will provide consultation and support to individuals with autism, and program staff within the OOHLP and community spaces.

Travel within the city of Calgary and surrounding area is expected. Applicants with previous experience working with Autistic individuals are preferred.

Qualifications: Degree/Diploma in Recreational Therapy is preferred or related degrees (e.g., Recreation and Sport, kinesiology, physical education, adapted physical education) will be considered, a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle; and a sound knowledge of child development.

Days and times of work: Days of work can be flexible, however two weekend days per month are required minimum. Working hours are primarily 11am – 7pm.
