Student, Payroll, Benefits and Pension Administration

Schedule: 20 hours per week
Location: Ottawa, HQ (Hybrid)
Salary range: $18.15 to $30.20/hourly rate dependent on level of education
Language requirement: Bilingual

Summary of responsibilities:
The Student, Payroll, Benefits and Pension Administration works with the Payroll, Benefits and Pension Administration team by providing support with the following projects:
- Provide support in the areas of records management, data entry;
- General payroll and pension administration
- Collection and analysis of data
- Support Payroll and Pension team in the development of special initiatives and projects;
- Provide support to other areas of the Finance team, when required; and
- Assist in the development and enhancement of Payroll and Pension programs and tools.
What you need to succeed:
To qualify for the position, you must have:
- Enrolled in a college diploma or a university degree in accounting, finance, payroll or business administration with a specialization in payroll and finance
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office suite;
- Any knowledge around taxable benefits, government filings, or internal controls;
- Previous experience in finance or accounting would be considered an asset;
Skills and abilities:
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal;
- Ability to conduct research, analyze and synthesis confidential information;
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task;
- Plan and organize work;
- Strong client service orientation;
- Meet tight deadlines in an efficient matter;
- Tact, diplomacy and discretion.

To qualify and to be considered for this employment, you must:
- Be eligible to obtain and maintain a reliability security clearance;
- Be a full-time or part-time CEGEP, College or University student; and
- Be returning to full-time or part-time studies in the next academic year.
