Supervisor, Immunization Services - Clinical
Health Services – Immunization Services
Status: 1 Contract Full Time (10 Months)
Salary Range: $103,175.00 – $128,969.00 per annum
Hiring Range: $103,175.00 – $116,072.00

Location: 7120 Hurontario Street, Mississauga, with travel required between clinic sites within Peel Region (Mississauga, Brampton, and Caledon).
Hours of Work: 35 hours per week
Who we are:
The Immunization Services Division is a singular, self-sufficient, and integrated vaccination program within Peel Public Health that works collaboratively with internal and external partners to improve protection in Peel against vaccine preventable diseases.
The role:
The Immunization Services Division is looking for an experienced health services leader to provide operational oversight and strategic guidance to a multidisciplinary team within the Immunization Services Division. You will be accountable for managing clinic operations, vaccine inventory, immunization records, and educational initiatives, while leading complex projects to enhance program delivery, service efficiency, and public health outcomes.
What you will do in this role:
- Plan, develop, implement, supervise, and evaluate Public Health programs mandated under the Ontario Public Health Standards (2008), specifically for Vaccine Preventable Diseases and Foundational Standards, in alignment with Ministry of Health requirements
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, public health standards, and regulated health professional practices across a multidisciplinary team.
- Support the development and implementation of team, program, sectional, divisional, departmental, and corporate initiatives and priorities
- Lead the creation and execution of program philosophies, objectives, policies, and procedures to guide high-quality service delivery
- Recruit, orient, supervise, assign and delegate work, mentor, and manage performance of clinical and non-clinical staff to achieve program goals and population-level health outcomes
- Develop and monitor program budgets, manage financial resources including vaccine reimbursement and OHIP billing, and ensure alignment with the Region of Peel’s financial framework
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including public health units, community partners, physicians, long-term care facilities, and educational institutions, to support program success and zone-based clinic models
- Plan, implement, and evaluate targeted health promotion strategies and clinical services to meet team-level objectives
- Analyze service levels and key performance indicators using continuous quality improvement (CQI) methodologies to ensure effective and efficient program delivery
- Administer, coordinate, and maintain provincial and local health databases and platforms including iPHIS, IRIS, BIOS, CHR, COVax/VAB, Panorama, JBS, BookJane, HRMS, and ERP systems
- Utilize research, health status data, surveillance metrics, and performance measures to inform team and section-level planning and decision-making.
- Lead team contributions to emergency and urgent public health responses (e.g., COVID-19 surges), including after-hours management responsibilities
- Collaborate with divisional leadership in strategic planning, performance tracking, and the achievement of both program-specific outputs and population health outcomes
- Prepare and present updates and key initiative reports to divisional and departmental leadership, as well as external stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication
- Supervise clinic operations and both clinical and non-clinical staff in school-based and community immunization clinics across Caledon, Brampton, and Mississauga
What the role requires:
- A Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing
- At least three years of experience in Public Health
- Evening and weekend work as needed based on program requirements
- Combination of education and experience may be considered
Skills/Abilities:
- Broad knowledge of Public Health’s mandate, population health principles and applicable legislation, policies, and standards
- Knowledge of and experience applying change management frameworks (e.g., ADKAR) to support organizational change
- Strong organizational, planning and time management skills
- Strong evidence informed decision-making, problem solving, negotiation and delegation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to lead, coach, influence and motivate staff with political acuity
- Effective coaching, mentoring, and team-building skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to complex situations that require an urgent response/attention (e.g. disease outbreaks)
- Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias
Nice to have:
- Additional education in Public Health, epidemiology, or related fields
- Previous supervisory experience within Public Health, or related field

Work Mode & Job Location:
In this role, you’ll benefit from the flexibility of a hybrid work arrangement that prioritizes meaningful in-person connection. A minimum of two days per week on-site is expected, with additional in-person presence as operational needs evolve. This arrangement allows for a blend of in person and hybrid work that adapts to support both organizational priorities and employee flexibility and is subject to change over time.
It's important to note that your off-site work location must be within the province of Ontario. This ensures that we're compliant with all regulations and policies.
