Lead the Future of Seniors Care in Peel
The Region of Peel is a recognized leader in long‑term care—advancing innovative, person‑centred and emotion‑based care models that are shaping the future of the sector.
Across our five municipally operated long‑term care homes, we are redefining how care is delivered by integrating clinical excellence with human connection, and by building systems that support seniors, caregivers, and communities along the full continuum of care.
We are currently recruiting two (2) Administrator / Executive Director roles, offering a unique opportunity to lead in distinct, high‑impact environments:
Opportunity 1: Malton Village (Mississauga)
A Trailblazer in Dementia Care Innovation
Malton Village holds a special place in the evolution of long‑term care in Ontario. It was the first home in the province to implement the Butterfly Model of Care, pioneering a shift from task‑based care to emotion‑based, relationship‑centred care for people living with dementia.
Today, Malton Village continues to lead, with:
- Established Butterfly home areas supporting residents with dementia through personalized, meaningful engagement
- Adult Day Services programs advancing innovative care approaches, including Canada’s first Butterfly‑certified ADS program
- A strong community identity with diverse residents, families, and staff
- A home‑like environment designed to foster dignity, connection, and belonging
This is an opportunity to lead in a home known for innovation, culture transformation, and person‑centred care excellence.
Opportunity 2: Peel Manor – Seniors Health & Wellness Village (Brampton)
A Leading Centre for Seniors Wellness and Integrated Care
Peel Manor is undergoing a transformative evolution through the Seniors Health and Wellness Village—a first‑of‑its‑kind model that integrates long‑term care with community‑based supports and services.
This state‑of‑the‑art, 177‑bed long‑term care centre is at the heart of a vibrant village designed to support seniors and caregivers through:
- A comprehensive service hub including Adult Day Services, respite care, dental and primary care supports, and specialized geriatric services
- An Integrated Care Centre connecting health, social, and community services in one location
- A Transitional Behavioural Support Unit for complex dementia care
- Community spaces, programming, and green environments that promote well‑being, independence, and connection
The Village is designed to be a Centre of Excellence in dementia care and aging in place, bringing together innovation, integration, and community impact.
This role offers the opportunity to lead within a next‑generation model of care delivery—advancing system integration and redefining what seniors care can look like.
