SUMMARY
The Outreach Representative plays a key role in increasing awareness of and participation in BioTalent Canada’s employer support programs and research projects. As part of engaging with bioscience employers across Canada, this position involves cold outreach to new contacts, replying to inbound inquiries, and identifying other relevant resources, products, or services that best meet individual needs. Reporting to the Manager, Outreach, the Outreach Representative works together with the Outreach team to meet targets and generate leads.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research, prospect, and develop potential connections, through various channels such as cold calls, emails, and social media platforms
- Respond to inbound inquiries about BioTalent Canada’s programs and projects
- Actively engage with employers and other key industry players for participation in BioTalent Canada’s programs and projects
- Research leads/prospects to identify key contacts and qualify opportunities
- Develop and maintain relationships, using active listening and curious questioning to best understand the needs of employers
- Transfer qualified opportunities to appropriate team members for further business development actions
- Track all activity and progress in the client relationship management (CRM) system
- Prioritize lead generation efforts alongside the regular requirements of the role
- Assist with other project deliverables and teams as required in a dynamic work environment
Requirements:

- Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills to engage with internal and external clients
- Proficiency with MS Suite, digital tools including the use of AI, and experience with CRMs

- Post-Secondary degree/diploma in a relevant discipline or equivalent in experience
Preferred qualifications include:
- Proficiency in both of Canada’s official languages
- Knowledge of/experience in the bioscience/healthcare industry in Canada
