Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for picking up donations, ensuring timely deliveries, keeping the donation bin locations tidy and offloading at the end of the day.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles for pickups.
- Maintain cleanliness and routine inspection of vehicles to ensure optimal operation and safety standards
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and donors to coordinate schedules and resolve any delivery issues promptly
- Assist with warehouse moving tasks as needed, including relocating inventory or supplies within the facility
- Keep detailed records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and maintenance needs
Requirements
- Valid class 5 drivers license.
- Prior experience in commercial driving, warehouse operations, or related fields preferred
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with moving goods or equipment
- Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance with transportation laws
- Physical ability to handle long periods of driving and manual handling tasks as required
- Good organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and delivery documentation
Job Type: Casual
Pay: $19.00 per hour
