Who We Are
The Region of Peel operates five municipally funded long‑term care homes, providing care to seniors with increasingly complex needs across the continuum of care. Seniors Services is comprised of Long Term Care and Seniors Services Development and is guided by a shared commitment to delivering compassionate, respectful, and individualized care.
Malton Village is a community‑embedded long‑term care home in Mississauga with 160 licensed beds, Adult Day Services, and specialized dementia‑care programming. The home is recognized as the birthplace of the Butterfly Model of Care in Ontario and continues to play a leadership role in advancing emotion‑based, person‑centred approaches for people living with dementia.
Seniors Services is guided by the Seniors Services Strategic Plan (2024–2029), which responds to a rapidly growing seniors population, increasing care complexity, and the need for sustainable, integrated models of care that support residents, caregivers, and staff.
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Administrator / Executive Director to lead Malton Village and contribute to system‑level leadership across Peel’s long‑term care and seniors services portfolio.
Your Impact
As Administrator / Executive Director, you will provide overall leadership and accountability for Malton Village, ensuring safe, high‑quality, compliant, and sustainable operations in alignment with the Seniors Services Strategic Plan (2024–2029) and its three strategic goals.

- Strengthening leadership capacity, succession planning, and workforce sustainability across clinical, operational, and support services.
- Ensuring effective labour relations and respectful workplace practices while navigating staffing pressures and operational complexity.
- Maintaining compliance with occupational health and safety, infection prevention and control, and legislative requirements to support safe and healthy workplaces.
Strategic Goal 2: Deliver Person‑Centred Care that Honours Individual Needs and Preferences
You will be accountable for resident care, quality, safety, and experience by:
- Overseeing all aspects of resident care and service delivery in compliance with the Fixing Long‑Term Care Act, 2021, its regulations, and Ministry standards.
- Championing person‑centred, emotion‑based approaches to care, including the sustainability and advancement of the Butterfly Model of Care and Adult Day Services programming.
- Using evidence, quality indicators, and resident and family feedback to drive continuous improvement and strengthen clinical and quality outcomes.
- Ensuring culturally responsive care that reflects the diverse needs, backgrounds, and experiences of the Malton community.
Strategic Goal 3: Facilitate Integrated Care through Purposeful Internal and External Collaboration
You will strengthen integration across the seniors’ care continuum by:
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with residents, families, caregivers, physicians, community agencies, and health‑system partners.
- Supporting integrated models of care that enable seniors and caregivers to access coordinated supports across long‑term care, Adult Day Services, and community‑based programs.
- Providing effective financial stewardship, operational oversight, and business planning to support sustainable service delivery and future readiness.
- Representing Malton Village within Peel Region and externally, contributing to system planning, innovation, and advocacy for seniors’ services.
