Job Overview
The Social Inclusion and Support Services Supervisor oversees the delivery and continuous improvement of programs supporting individuals with disabilities and their families across Alberta. This role provides operational and practice-based leadership to the Director of Social Inclusion and Support Services, ensuring services are inclusive, participant-centred, trauma-informed, and aligned with CP Alberta’s mission of supporting people to live a Life Without Limits. As a Registered Social Worker (RSW), the Supervisor works closely with individuals, families, staff, and community partners, and is responsible for staff supervision, coaching, program oversight, and organizational coordination.
Duties
- Oversee the implementation and day-to-day delivery of CP Alberta programs, including early intervention therapies, recreational and therapeutic programs, and family supports
- Coordinate the CP Cares Program, including communication with applicants, leading committee meetings, tracking outcomes, and preparing reports
- Coordinate the Early Intervention Therapy Program, including communication with participants, therapists, and vendors, tracking outcomes, and preparing reports
- Oversee Volunteer Coordinators and volunteer program operations, including recruitment, retention, engagement, and appreciation initiatives
- Ensure programs meet organizational standards, contractual obligations, and evidence-informed best practices in disability and social work services
- Collaborate with the Director of Social Inclusion and Support Services to monitor program quality, outcomes, and participant feedback, and recommend continuous improvement initiatives to enhance effectiveness and accessibility
- Serve as a resource to staff and facilitators by promoting inclusive and strengths-based approaches
- Provide guidance related to accommodations, safeguarding, informed consent, and family-centred service delivery
- Work directly with individuals and families to ensure services are responsive, respectful, and aligned with participant goals
- Support partnerships with community agencies, therapists, and external partners to strengthen coordinated service delivery and advance social inclusion
- In collaboration with the Director of Social Inclusion and Support Services, conduct performance reviews, goal setting, coaching, and professional development planning in alignment with organizational policies
- Provide leadership, mentorship, guidance, and coaching to staff involved in program delivery
- Participate in organizational planning, quality improvement, and inclusion-focused initiatives
- In collaboration with the Director, assist with the preparation and management of the departmental budget
- Work with the Executive Director and Development/Communications teams to provide information, data, and statistics to support funding applications and reporting requirements
- Provide temporary coverage within programs and events as required
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential records, including member files, service documentation, meeting notes, and case-related notes, in accordance with privacy legislation, professional standards, and organizational policies
- Support program planning, scheduling, and coordination to ensure efficient and sustainable service delivery
- Assist with the development, implementation, and review of policies, procedures, and service guidelines
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work
- Current registration and good standing as a Registered Social Worker (RSW) in Alberta
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities and/or families in community-based or social service environments
- Demonstrated experience supervising, coaching, and supporting staff
- Strong understanding of person-centred, family-centred, and inclusion-focused programs and services
- Experience managing confidential records in compliance with privacy legislation, professional standards, and organizational policies
- Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and external partners is preferred
- Knowledge of Alberta’s disability, health, and social service systems is considered an asset
- Strong leadership, collaboration, communication, and relationship-building skills
- High level of professionalism, ethical judgment, and confidentiality
- Strong organizational, documentation, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and competing demands effectively
- Strong ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with therapists, instructors, partners, funders, and stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports, presentations, and correspondence
- Ability to collaborate across internal teams and external sectors to achieve shared outcomes
- Demonstrated commitment to inclusive practices and understanding of barriers experienced by persons with disabilities
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
In-person position
Occasional evening or weekend work may be required
Travel within Alberta may be required
Pay: $60,000.00 per year
